Turn your coat closet into a book nook

We had a traditional coat closet that we wanted to serve as a book nook/bench - check out how it was done.

Start by removing doors and any existing shelves. Fill the holes and paint the whole space!

Next you're going to build your support. Using Screws and 2x4's make a large 'E' out of wood

Now hang your 'E' in the studs and add a front 2x4 - this is guts of your bench.

Once that is done you need to add a top piece of wood and a front plate. I walk you through how in my post.

Last is to add book shelves and your kids favorite books, and you will have the perfect quiet space for them.
