This is a DIY project perfect for beginners.  If you don't own a table saw ask the lumber store to make the cuts for you on the shelf tops - this will cost very little

Step 1:

Once your closet has been cleared out and painted Using 1x2's build a support along the back wall and sides (leaving it 1 inch short of the depth of your shelves on the sides

Step 2:

Time to add the top. You can cut this piece with your table saw or circular saw, or have your lumber store cut the pieces for you.   Lay in on your frame and use a nail gun to nail it down along the sides.

Step 3:

Using a 1x3 add your front with wood glue and a nail gun.  This will give the shelves the finished 'thick wood/floating' look.  You can see how that looks in the  bottom photo.

Fill the gorgeous shelves and enjoy! This is a beginner project that can be done in one day!

Now Enjoy
