The Best Backpacks for Kids

I have gotten my kids so many different backpacks over the years. I have learned through trial and error what is the best and what is needed.

Here are the top 5 things to consider when buying a kids' backpack for back to school.

Pay close attention to dimensions. Little kids need something smaller that they can handle themselves, and older kids need something to fit folders, books, etc.

An elastic side water bottle pocket is an essential for me. It saves you from soggy mishaps.

I also am a huge fan of at least 2 pockets in a backpack - the small front pocket for things like my sons Epi-pen that I don't want in his larger pocket.

For example, if you have a child who tends to lose their lunchbox, a backpack that you can hook it on would be great.

Honestly, if I'm going to be looking at this bag all year, I want it to be beautiful!
